Home Furniture

Contemporary home office furniture is a must if you want both style and function in your home. You spend a lot of time in your office, why add to the stress by making the room unpleasant to be in?

Contemporary furniture comes in a pretty large variety of materials, but glass and dark wood combinations are some of my personal favorites.

Accent with live plants to emphasize your desire for the natural world. Dark colored woods with vivid green plants pops with taste and color.

Contemporary office furniture includes more than just your desk. Awesome chairs, cabinets, bookshelves, and end tables are also available. If you don't get your furniture from the same set, try to at least find pieces that are complimentary to each other.

The right lighting is essential in highlighting your office furniture, but is also necessary for emphasizing your artwork. Be careful, though: at the end of the day, you want to be able to see your keyboard and read your memos.

If living space permits, setting up a home office can be a rewarding experience to separate work from other parts of your life. Having a home office desk and storage furniture is the key in office setup. Many decorators are setting up home office spaces similar to what may be found at a commercial office. The Outline series from Bernhardt offers several options of complete home office setups. There are different choices in wood colors along with choices to be made in the different types of storage furniture that best suit your needs. The advantage to this type of setup is having all of those files, bills to pay, and books in the home office as opposed to cluttering up other areas of the home. More information: here.

With so many of us working from home these days shouldn't we put a little more into our home office furniture to at least make the experience as good as possible? We'll the fine folks at Drexel Heritage  not only think so, they have some outstanding furniture offerings to make everyday a great day at the office. The Rothshire desk which is part of the British Accents collection has a generous amount of work space, pull down center keyboard drawer, two lockable files and six utility drawers for general storage. My favorite feature is the bookcase front that keeps all the important reference material close at hand.
